In a recent faculty workshop at FIT NYC, one of the professors asked us if AI-rendered sketches might end up looking similar. In other words, would student work start blending together? The answer? Absolutely not! Starting from a single example sketch, we showed a wide range of unique outputs, each generated by using different open-source models and settings.

And those examples? Just the beginning. With nearly endless customization options—from prompts and models to control weights, detection, blending, and so much more—the open-source ecosystem offers a blank canvas of creative potential. Students have every tool at their fingertips to explore styles as unique as their own visions.
